We had the good fortune of connecting with Elsa Delgado Perkins and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Elsa Delgado, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
There is something in the beauty world that has fascinated me since I was a little girl. I won’t pretend I knew I wanted to be a makeup and hair artist back then, but I’ve always had this love for all things beauty—playing with makeup, trying out different hairstyles (so many braids!), and admiring beauty pageants. In 2013, I started my journey, and I’m so glad and proud of myself for doing it. Looking back on these 11 years, I’m beyond proud of how far I’ve come. You know what fuels my passion? is this belief that every woman is already stunning, and makeup just adds that extra sparkle to highlight their best features. I’m not about following trends. I think it’s not a coincidence that this principle is what drives my signature style: natural and flawless.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Born and raised in Guayaquil, Ecuador, I began my dream career in 2013 as a freelance makeup and hair artist, quickly building an impressive client portfolio. Moving to Houston in 2017 and later to the DFW area in 2018, I faced challenges starting from scratch. However, Texas welcomed me with open arms, allowing me to embrace the beauty of all ethnicities. It has been an honor to work with each and every one of my clients.

As a makeup and hair artist, I pour my heart and soul into my work, striving to meet the unique needs of every client and enhance their natural beauty. I’ve learned to focus on my own growth, both personally and professionally, channeling all my energy into it instead of getting caught up in comparing myself to others. And you know what? Clients love it! This approach has made me a magnet for them because they see me as someone they can trust, someone who is close to them, and someone who can bring their dream look to life.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
DFW is pretty big and awesome, offering lots of things to do, but here are my favorite spots:

Museum: Visit the Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza to learn about the life, legacy, and assassination of President John F. Kennedy.

Restaurants: There are so many options, but my favorite is Steakyard in Dallas.

Outdoor Activities: Explore the Fort Worth Stockyards, Grapevine Main Street, and the Dallas and Fort Worth Zoos.

Hikes: Check out North Shore in Grapevine, Horseshoe in Grapevine, and Sansom in Fort Worth.

Shops: Enjoy shopping at Southlake Town Square and Grapevine Mills Outlet.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d love to give a massive shoutout to my incredible friends, family, and my amazing husband who have been my rock since day one. Your consistent support, encouragement, and love have driven my journey in the beauty world. To my friends who have always cheered me on, my family who has believed in me every step of the way, and my husband who has been my biggest supporter and shoulder to lean on—I’m endlessly grateful for you all. Your belief in me has fueled my passion and inspired me to chase my dreams. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for being my strength and inspiration. Couldn’t have made it without you! 💖✨
