We had the good fortune of connecting with Renosh Rejoy and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Renosh, have you ever found yourself in a spot where you had to decide whether to give up or keep going? How did you make the choice?
If you want to know whether to keep going or to give up, just self-reflect about it. Is this taking me where I want it to go? Is this on the right path? Am I satisfied with what I have accomplished so far? Do I wish to keep going? If you disagree with any of these questions, tackle the issue by identifying the core problem. Why is it not going in the path I want? What could have happened that resulted in this downfall? Can I fix the issue? If I can fix the issue, how?
Self-reflecting on your judgment helps give clarity. If you enjoy what you are doing and wish to continue doing it, then go ahead! If you don’t like what you are doing and think that you would be better off doing something else, then try something new! If you are still unsure, continue thinking about it. Remember, you have all of the time in the world, so take your time to reflect on your judgment. There is also external support that can help guide you in the direction you wish to go in, like mentors, loved ones, and friends. Each decision is important, so make sure that your decision is satisfactory and acceptable to you.
Just like there is external support to help you, there is also external support to negatively impact your judgment. If you have ungrateful parents or unsupporting friends, understand that you control your life. No one else controls your life. It’s the hard truth, but we all only have one life to live in this world, so we have to do our best to make the most of our time. Your time and energy shouldn’t go toward those that bring you down. You should be surrounded by those that can lift you, so that you can decide whether to keep going or to give up, confidently and freely!
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a photographer. I have been a photographer for less than a year, as of now. I have always had an interest in photography and capturing the best moments life has to offer. It wasn’t until a couple of months ago that I started photography as a hobby.
Getting my photography to where it is today took time and patience. I did not start photography to gain status or wealth, but to show the world what I can produce with a camera. Of course, this has been a difficult journey, but I am thankful that I jumped past those hurdles. Photography isn’t just about pressing the shutter button and hoping that you will get a good photo. It’s about capturing a story with each click. That’s what I strive towards when taking photos.
If I had to send a message to the world, it would be to keep going and not give up, because your persistence and hard work will pay off eventually. Just don’t work too hard! Make sure that you enjoy the journey. Photography is a great way to connect with people and foster relationships, so just be patient and have fun!
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Spending time with those you love is a gift. We humans are social creatures, and connecting with those you love improves your mental health and well-being. Whether a dinner with friends, a walk in the park with your significant other, or board games with family, it creates and cherishes memories that will last a lifetime. That’s why I started photography. I started photography to capture the best moments in life. That also includes spending time with my best friend in the city. If he/she was visiting the area, I would do this:
On Day 1, I would take my friend to the Samosa Hut & Grill to try some Vegetable Samosas and a Goat Biryani. To start the week-long expedition, we would start at the Museum of Illusions in Dallas.
On Day 2, I would take my friend to the Taj Chaat House to chow down on some Pani Puri, a Taj Combo, and a Mango Lassi. Delicious! After that, we would go to the Dallas World Aquarium to see some aquatic animals and even take some photos!
On Day 3, I would take my friend to Hot N Spicy to eat Naan and Chicken Tikka Masala. After that, we will be going to the Epic Waters Indoor Waterpark.
On Day 4, I would take my friend to Amaravati Indian Restaurant to try some Dosa, Chili Paneer, and a Sprite. We have been visiting a lot of places these past few days, so today, let’s visit the Perot Museum of Nature and Science!
On Day 5, I would take my friend to Deccan Grill to eat some Chicken 65 and a Chicken Sheek Kebab. After that, let us go to Dallas Arbotorium and Botanical Gardens. This place is great for macro photography, as there are a LOT of flowers. I mean A LOT.
On Day 6, I would take my friend to the Hyderabad House and try some Manchow Soup Chicken, a Veg Khemma Pulav, and Lamb Chops. After that, we will go to Main Event to play some games and have fun! Can you win in laser tag?
On Day 7, I would take my friend to the Pasand Indian Cuisine to eat some Pakora, Hyderabad Chicken Biryani, and Curd Rice. Today, let’s end the vacation at Six Flags over Texas. No camera, just us having a great time (and losing our voices after the rides).
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to thank EVERYONE who entered into my life because they’ve helped me shape into the person that I am today. I want to thank all of my family, friends, teachers, and staff for their love and support. It is, without a doubt, the unwavering love and support I have received that continues to uplift me and my life. I would like to give special recognition to Mr. Javier Vicencio, a freelance photographer, who is also my teacher. He is always caring and supportive of those around him. With his extensive knowledge of photography, he goes out into the world to teach others its magic, including me. At the time that I am saying this, I’ve known Mr. Vicencio for a couple of months now, but even during that short period, he has taught me so much about photography. I might not have started my photography if it wasn’t for Mr. Vicencio himself. So again, thank you to everyone who helped and shaped me into the person that I am today. I am so grateful for having you all in my life!
