We had the good fortune of connecting with Michael Campbell and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Michael, how do you think about risk?
Here’s what I don’t want: I don’t want to be on my death bed, surrounded by all the risks I should have gone for and learning what could have been. I personally feel that my God gives us all gifts, gifts that if nurtured and refined could develop into something beautiful. Risks are scary, but what if’s are even scarier!

My why got me through all my risks. My risks paved a way for my why. Risks are mandatory for growth, plain and simple. Either take the risk or be ok with where you are.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
As the founder of Smile I Stutter, I’m proud of the unique approach we take to supporting those with speech impediments. We focus not only on speech therapy but also on building a supportive community where individuals can find friendship and understanding. What sets us apart is our commitment to inclusivity and empowerment, ensuring that no one feels alone in their journey.

Getting to where we are today hasn’t been easy. We’ve faced challenges like limited resources and stigma surrounding speech impediments. However, we’ve overcome these obstacles by staying resilient and resourceful. We’ve learned the importance of perseverance and creativity in navigating the nonprofit world.

One of the lessons we’ve learned along the way is the power of community. By connecting with others who share our vision, we’ve been able to amplify our impact and reach more individuals in need. We’ve also learned the value of adaptability, as we’ve had to adjust our approach in response to changing circumstances.

What I want the world to know about Smile I Stutter is that we’re more than just a nonprofit organization. We’re a global movement fueled by compassion and empathy, dedicated to creating a world where everyone feels accepted and valued, regardless of their speech impediment. Our story is one of resilience, hope, and the transformative power of community.
