We had the good fortune of connecting with Denise Jones and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Denise, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I have 4 grown children. Ive always enjoyed setting up their parties and sometimes went to the extreme with the party decor. I Fell in love with the tent slumber party idea after seeing it on the internet. The idea was stuck in my head And in 2021 after being laid off due to COVID, I decided to Give it a try.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Upon my starting my business I decided I would Go old school and give the customer exactly what they wanted by offering custom themes at no extra cost. I continued with those old school values by treating my customers the way I would want to be treated and by authentically caring about their party wants and needs.
I believe in keeping my word and always over delivering. I’ve been in business almost 3 years and pride myself on always being there for the customer (parent) so they can be there for their child on their special day.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I don’t go out much so I wouldn’t know where to hang out. I do know…my parties are not just for kids. I’ve hosted ladies events, bachelorette parties, mom and me parties. I would get some more friends together and host a teepee slumber party in my home. We could do some shopping and dining out. We could also take turns cooking and have some fun times eating at home and just being together hanging out in our teepee’s reminiscing about the good old days.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I am A US Marine. Well you know the saying….once a marine always a marine. Since serving our country, I feel I can accomplish anything that I set my mind to.
