We had the good fortune of connecting with Brandon Reed and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brandon, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I felt like I robbed my community with my criminal activity and just wanted to give back. I wanted to make a difference and give back. I thought fitness was the perfect way give back.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’ve been in business 13 years and I would trade any of it, even the bad days.. I pride my gym on its diversity, I have all ages, political affiliations, sexual orientations, religious afford, handicaps ect. We all come together for the gym community. I think what sets us apart from other gyms is our character and atmosphere. It’s truly a no judgment zone. It’s not about the quantity of clients but the quality. I don’t have the high turnover as most gyms. I’m proud of just being in business 14 years.. to be honest overcoming the challenges wasn’t easy, I had to navigate things like covid, not being business savvy, losing my father. I had Como behind me, Western Hills class of 97, my Reed Family and so many more.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I absolutely love Fort Worth and couldn’t imagine living anywhere else. Fort Worth has so many hidden gyms. Since I’m into fitness, we would have to workout at the Train Station of course. We could go hiking at Eagle Mountain, Sansom Park, walk through neighborhoods close to TCU. I love the hills. We would have to go through Como, a historically black community so I could show them where I’m from. Night life, I love the Magnolia, South Main areas. I often take my gym family to visit those places for our birthdays and other milestones. Friday a happy hour on Magnolia starting at Sugarmans, then usual and just go from bar to bar. Saturday boot camp at my gym, lunch at Carptners. Night Life I want to be on a roof top downtown Fort Worth and then Studio 80. Sunday church at Greater Rising Star Baptist church. Brunch at Winslows. I have to take em to the Stockyards to see the cattle drive and eat lunch.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’m thankful for my community the Lake Como Cummunity, my church family and a few of my family members who had a great impact my father Leroy Reed, Mother z Beverly Reed Sister Oneice Spain Aunts Evelyn Reed and Vera Livingston.
