We had the good fortune of connecting with Kymerriye Dixon and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kymerriye, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
I am a big risk-taker! I’m originally from MS and moved to Texas right after I graduated college. I knew it would be very challenging moving to a new state without any of my immediate family and friends. I left with only a goal of wanting more out of life and I knew TX had many more resources and opportunities, so of course I think risks are what you perceive out of life. I never shied away from anything new before and being confident in who you are and what you do plays a big role in the risks I take today. Taking risks is a great way to get anyone out of their comfort zone, especially if you like learning new things. And I had to always remind myself to enjoy the journey despite the hardships because it wasn’t going to last forever and anything that was put in your way to stop you was only trying to help you grow.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I am a Realtor servicing the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Real Estate was only a thought before it became a passion of mine. I knew I had the drive to help others but the question for myself was who, what, where, how, and why? Who do I want to help? What am I helping others with? Where do I want to help others? How are others benefiting from me helping them? And why do I want to help these certain individuals? I enjoyed helping others but I also wanted to impact their lives in a positive way that would be beneficial. Now, I have become a part of what I like to consider as a life-changing event when purchasing a home or making a big investment. I provide homebuyers and sellers with the knowledge and insight that best fits their home buying needs and wants. I still smile at how this was only a goal and it became my reality quickly and how I am a part of making others dreams come true. I am here to assist with any home needs; buying, selling, leasing, apartment locating, and relocating. And as I always tell my clients, you have a friend in me long-term and I am only one call away and can help you at any time of the day!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
One of my favorite things to do in the DFW area is brunching. I love to brunch and I love exploring black-owned businesses. As of now my top spots I like to eat at are Kitchen and Kocktails which is located in Dallas and The Passion Cafe which is located in Grand Prairie.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to shoutout KW Urban Dallas and my team BHGROUP REA, I appreciate the many opportunities and knowledge I have gained so far and can’t wait to see where this journey takes me. I would also like to make a huge shout out to my mother, partner, family and friends. Without the love and support from them, I can’t imagine where life would have taken me. I pray along this journey that I am making everyone proud and being an inspiration that you can do it too!
