Meet Daniel Adkins | Singer/Recording Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Daniel Adkins and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Daniel, why did you pursue a creative career?
Music has always been a passion of mine, I was born into this calling. I come from a background of musicians and singers in my family. With that being said, I developed a love for music at a very young age. I am so grateful that God saw fit to bless me with this gift, which has also allowed me to develop into my purpose. At the onset of Covid, God spoke to me and said it is now time for your voice to be heard and your gift to reach the masses. It was on that day I decided to make music my lifestyle and live my life through my purpose. I truly believe I was made for this and it’s up to me to trust God and pursue it.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What sets me apart from others is my ability to adapt to whatever challenges that may come my way. That ability stems from my faith. I have very strong faith and without a doubt I am a faith based believer who follows Christ every step of the way. I am a firm believer that if God ordains it, he will maintain it therefore as a Christian it is my responsibility to trust that he will do just that. I am most proud/excited about the journey so far and the several pathways that have been opened for me. I had the privilege of releasing my first single entitled “ We Praise You” November of last year and just watching God be God throughout the whole process has been mind blowing for me. In addition to my faith, I would say my hard-work and perseverance is how I got to where I am today. If I said it was easy that wouldn’t be true, anything in life worth having will take some challenges and disappointments. It’s up to us as creatives and entrepreneurs to learn from those challenges and build from them, throughout my journey I’ve done just that and I can truly say that every trial has made me stronger. Life is all about lessons, I can truly say I learn something new every day. The most valuable lesson I have learned so far is no matter what stay true to who you are! The industry will try and change you if you are not careful, therefore it is important that you stand firm in your beliefs and what is right. One thing I want the world to know about me and my music journey is that God is in every step, it is in him that I live, move and have my being. He has yet to lead me astray and even during my moments of uncertainty I still trust him. God honors that.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I am a foodie so this question is easy 😂 Just to name a few

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My Shoutout would have to go to my biggest supporters, my family. My parents, Kurt and Tracey Adkins, siblings Kirbye Adkins and Shelby Monroe, are the backbone of who I am. Their unconditional love and support is what keeps me encouraged. My mom (Tracey Adkins) has been a Minister of Music for 40+ years, she is the one who truly developed me into the singer I am today. My sister (Kirbye Adkins) travels the world with me as my music director, it is truly a blessing having her work alongside me knowing she has my best interest at heart in every aspect. I tell people everywhere I go #Itsafamilyaffair.
