We had the good fortune of connecting with Care4Kiddos and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Care4Kiddos, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
We founded Care4Kiddos with a vision to make a positive impact in our community by addressing the challenges faced by children and families dealing with domestic abuse. Our mission revolves around spreading awareness, hosting fundraisers, and advocating for policy reforms to support survivors. By collaborating with youth-led organizations and NGOs worldwide, we aim to create a global network dedicated to combating domestic violence and providing essential resources for survivors seeking help.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Care4Kiddos (C4K) is a youth-led global 501c3 registered nonprofit founded in December 2021 by Diya Brijesh, Jeeya Desai, Gousikaa Suresh, and Anushka Vellopore. What sets us apart is our unwavering commitment to making a tangible impact in communities affected by domestic abuse. Since our inception in November 2021, we have achieved significant milestones that we are incredibly proud of.
To date, we have hosted over 50 events and fostered partnerships with more than 30 organizations, creating a network of support that spans the globe. Our outreach has touched the lives of over 1,800,000 individuals across 36 different countries worldwide, raising awareness about the critical issue of domestic abuse.
One of our proudest achievements is the funds we’ve raised, totaling over $20,000, which directly support domestic abuse support groups. Our dedication to advocacy has taken us to the Austin Capitol, where we had the privilege of presenting our original program to State Representative Ana-Maria Ramos and Senator Drew Springer. We were also invited to testify for House Bills 1475 and 1179, with the latter being successfully passed and expedited to Congress.
At C4K, we believe in a holistic approach to combating domestic violence. Socially, we organize awareness campaigns, providing educational resources to communities while offering support to victims and survivors through donations, cards, care packages, and more. Politically, we are dedicated to advocating for policy reforms that protect survivors, enhance legal responses to domestic violence, and secure increased funding for support services.
Our yearlong fundraising efforts, alongside informational social media campaigns, enable us to sustain our mission. Furthermore, our collaborations with youth-led organizations and NGOs worldwide allow us to share knowledge, resources, and best practices in the fight against domestic violence.
As we move forward, our vision includes establishing a helpline or online support platform to provide critical resources and support for domestic abuse survivors seeking help. We take immense pride in our journey thus far, driven by a shared commitment to creating a safer and more compassionate world for those impacted by domestic abuse.

Then, take a trip to the Dr. Pepper Ballpark for a RoughRiders baseball game, demonstrating the power of community engagement, just as we do in our events at C4K.
3. Next, share a meal at 5th Street Patio Cafe, known for its community-driven approach to dining, OR dine at the Rail District’s charming and diverse restaurant scene, highlighting the importance of community support.
