There is a big different between a CPA/Accountant and a Bookkeeper. A CPA is focused on developing and executing a strategy for your local, state and federal taxes along with the documents to file these taxes. A bookkeeper records financial transactions using a software like QuickBooks or FreshBooks or using a spreadsheet. Recording financial transactions consists of tracking expenses, managing invoices, payroll, inventory, and bank/credit card reconciliation. When training with a personal trainer, people become very chatty. As a personal trainer, I have found myself counseling people on life issues as much as coaching them for fitness. Because my studio is private, the client’s conversation is heard only by me. I definitely didn’t expect counseling to be part of my role going into personal training. I am also a registered dietitian. When sessions are strictly diet discussions, vulnerability is less, so I don’t hear as much personal baggage, but there are still some of those moments as clients feel exposed.
