We had the good fortune of connecting with David Stanley and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi David, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My wife (Janet) and I work full-time in management positions. I have over 30 years of experience in the automotive industry, and Janet has over 35 years of experience in the health care industry. There are many attributes and experiences that lend themselves to small businesses ownership. However, at the end of the day you are covering all aspects of the business and spending / investing your own money. This is both scary and invigorating.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We would make it to a Dallas Stars game, and an FC Dallas game for sure, maybe even a Cowboys game. Definitely get some Texas Brisket at Hutchin’s (either Frisco or McKinney), do some shopping at the Shops of Legacy, Legacy West and downtown McKinney. There we could visit some of the great restaurants for some food and drinks. Haywire would be my first choice in Legacy West for dinning, Harvest in downtown McKinney, and Eight 11 Place for some wine in downtown Frisco. For coffee and some light snacks definitely Summer Moon (either Frisco or Celina), and LaFinca Coffee & Bakery (downtown Frisco).
