We had the good fortune of connecting with Amir Mushtaq and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Amir, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind my success is when I take photos and work with my clients I don’t just treat them like clients. I think the life long connection with my clients and being able to visually see them go through the cycle of life is what is important for me. There are times where I seen my clients go through engagement shoots, to getting married, to having maternity shoots. To me that’s simply beautiful!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I’m a professional photographer. I’ve been shooting weddings for about 6-7 years now. I started out back in NYC when I was living out there. I recently moved to Dallas and I’m most excited to meet new clients out here and expand my client base in Texas. Lessons, there are so many lessons I’ve learned on my Journey here. I think to be authentic is probably the biggest lesson I can share. Just be yourself, stop trying to be like others around you. Expand on your own skills and learn some new ones as you go! I think it’s important to keep teaching ourselves and growing to be the best at what we do!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I think the best part of Dallas so far is the BBQ out here!! I mean you can literally go to any BBQ spot here and it will not disappoint. I would probably take them to Hutchins BBQ

I want to dedicate this shout-out to my wife. She deserves all the credit for pushing me to be the best of myself.
