We had the good fortune of connecting with Norry Niven and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Norry, do you have a favorite quote or affirmation?
Everyone has two businesses….their’s and film.
Meaning, that no matter how much experience or how many awards…people have strong opinions.
What should our readers know about your business?
We are a constantly growing animal, thus 1000 foot squid…with our arms in documentary, feature film, series, music video, national t.v. commercials and even corporate projects from time to time. Nothing worthwhile is ever easy. Challenges are always interesting, always a growth experience…. Of the many lessons I’ve learned along the way, the most important one is to keep some of my cards close to my chest. I want the world to continue to expect the quality work I’ve been generating for 27 years but to now expect it to show up on the big screen…
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
State Fair is #1…..people watching and raw Texas. I love to escape to the DMA, Nasher…. I would drive them to Joe T. Garcia’s in Ft. Worth then the next night take them to Nick and Sam’s in Dallas…. We lived in Kessler Park for 12 years, so Bishop Arts has a place in my heart too. Along with a holiday walk downtown that would include Neiman’s and Clyde Warren Park.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
