Meet Jenny | Vocalist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jenny and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jenny, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Hi I’m Jenny the vocalist of the band Saving Jackie.

Here’s a little back story.

The Drummer and I are Siblings. We use to be in a band called Jackie On Acid here in our hometown San Antonio, TX. We opened for many National Acts. In 2003 we ended Jackie On Acid to pursue family, work and continuing education. Over a decade later, I wanted to jam again. My brother and I put ads out and our previous bassist answered it. This time my lyrical message would be positive and up lifting. As for me I’ve been diagnose with throat nodules and cancer just to name a few. So I wanted an outlet. In my songwriting I share my struggles and triumphs in every song. We formed Saving Jackie in late 2019. We performed a few shows in town and then the Pandemic hit. We used that time and started to perform Virtually. That allowed us to reach out of the United States to South America. It’s pretty amazing to see where our Music has reached. My determination to be healed is unbreakable. It’s made me stronger and you can hear it in our music, our journey has been pretty amazing. This little Texas band is making a mark in music Internationally. We hope to spread love, hope, faith and continue to build new friendships around the World. We’re preparing to enter the Studio again late 2022 and we’re scheduled to perform at Exodo Fest April 2023 in Malinche Tlaxcala Mexico. For more updates follow us on Facebook.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
• What should our readers know about your work?

Our music is real and powerful. All the lyrics are written by me and come from a Woman’s point of view. Our music is original and relatable. As I wrote for my well being, I’m encouraging others in their own lives. Mental health to physical health is really important to me.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
San Antonio, TX has many great spots to visit. We have Hemisfair, San Antonio River Walk, San Antonio Missions, Natural Bridge Caverns, The Alamo, Historic Market Square, King William, McNay Art Museum, Sea World and Six Flags Fiesta Texas.
