We had the good fortune of connecting with Kendahl Olson and Brittanie Hewlett and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kendahl Olson and, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The greatest factor behind our success is our effort to keep our priorities straight. We keep faith and family as our top priorities, and then focus on our business. We are moms and love to be at home with our children, and we are also business women with a dream to help support others in reaching their goals.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
We help Pink Sales Directors focus on the people in their business by helping them hire pre-trained assistants. So essentially, we find and train qualified virtual assistants who are ready to jump in and help their clients reach their goals. We also meet with Sales Directors to identify what their key objectives are and identify how they could delegate to an assistant.

We love working with both of these groups of people. They have both challenged us in new ways and encouraged us to increase our efficiency.

The initial demand for our service far exceeded our expectations. We found ourselves with a high need to quickly find qualified assistants who want to be trained in this very niche market. After lots of trial and error, we have found that LinkedIn is a great way to recruit assistants at the caliber we need. We also LOVE assistants who are referrals. Whether assistants are stay-at-home moms wanting a small side hustle, or someone working full-time who wants some bonus income – our assistants are diverse, ambitious, and eager to provide excellent support.

Pink Sales Directors are phenomenal. They are women focused first on their faith, then family, then career. They understand the importance of delegating and need pre-trained assistants. We have been blown away by the kind, exceptional women we are able to serve. We have also learned of the necessity for setting clear expectations in our business for how we can help. When we set clear expectations, Pink Sales Directors are more satisfied with our service.

This business has not been easy. We are often surprised by the new challenges we see each week, but we have learned to be resilient. With an optimistic approach, most problems can be solved.

It is so cool to be in the business of helping empower women to help other women reach their goals! It brings both satisfaction and happiness to not just interact with incredible individuals, but to help them achieve their dreams.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I guess it’s my turn to take the lead on this question and share some of the things I love about Texas! I have lived in the Dallas Fort Worth area for 2.5 years and have grown to love the people here and the kind, faithful culture. My business partner, Brittanie, has never visited. If she were coming, we’d have a full list of things we’d want to do. We could spend a few days just eating at delicious places! We’d have to include a meal at Babe’s Chicken Dinner House. Then pick from the many great options for some tasty barbecue and flavorful street tacos. We wouldn’t want to miss out experiencing a gas station that is like no other, so we’d have to head to Buc-ee’s and get some yummy beaver nuggets.

For entertainment we’d hit up Billy Bob’s with our husbands for some fun country dancing and be sure to go to the Fort Worth Zoo with our kiddos to see all the incredible animal exhibits. And if Brittanie came during one of the many months in which swimming is an option in Texas, we’d head to Eagle Mountain Lake to enjoy the beautiful beach and water. Most importantly, I’d want her to get to know my neighbors and Texas friends to experience and know the down-to-earth, hardworking, good people I’ve come to be so thankful for in my short time here.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Our story is absolutely not our own. There are so many who have contributed to helping us build our business by providing sound feedback, support, and ideas along the way. Here are a few we want to highlight: Our husbands, Mark and Adam. They’ve supported the execution of what was once just an idea. Since we’ve officially started our company they’ve provided essential encouragement to overcome obstacles and creative ideas to take our business to the next level. In addition to the support of our husbands and other family members; Jenn Peterson has been a mentor to us the entire time. She’s always been willing to help answer questions as we seek to become experts in the Pink industry and is constantly sharing the opportunity with her fellow Sales Directors. The support of these individuals has been crucial to our success. They’ve made it possible for us to experience the happiness we feel when empowering others and supporting them in achieving their goals!
