We had the good fortune of connecting with Nick Brigis and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Nick, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
At face value we connect small, medium, and enterprise level contracting businesses to their ideal customers. But when you take a deeper look into our business, there’s a quite a lot of factors at play. Beyond connecting our clients to their customers, our business is a direct mechanism of adding value into the market. Everything we do, every penny of revenue generated, is only possible due to the value we bring our clients and revenue they are able to generate. On top of this, our dynamic marketing campaigns, which are custom to each client with a complete emphasis on creative/unique offers, applies pressure to other other competitors to generate unique offers of their own to compete with our clients. So beyond our business being a mechanism for client acquisition, we are a driving competitive force in each respective market we operate in that ultimately leads to a net benefit for consumers seeking the products were marketing. On top of this, localized lead generation for contracting businesses is a broken industry. Due to relative ease of entry for new marketers, the easy-to-achieve ROI for contractors due to high ticket products, and a consistent demand for sales focused contracting businesses. It creates the perfect environment for less experienced marketers focused on making quick and easy money to prey on and provide services to unsuspecting contracting companies, who ultimately never achieve their target goals. And this cycle over time has created a negative sentiment towards marketing from contracting businesses. So in a sense, our company Contractors Creative is a defiant stance towards this negative sentiment. We’ve created a completely customer facing and obsessed company designed with a proven approach to change this sentiment and show contracting companies, it is possible to capitalize on your local market.
What should our readers know about your business?
Today, operating a business in the online agency space is a crucible that has the potential to forge some of the greatest entrepreneurs of our new generation. The space is crowded, competitive, has low product differentiation, a base of consumers with extreme cynicism towards your product, a demand for performance (or you don’t have a business), and existing sharks/whales with every advantage over your business. And as daunting as this seems, this is also the perfect environment to teach young entrepreneurs the true value of perseverance, innovating and pivoting to meet market demands, keeping your costs as low as possible, leveraging unique positioning to create value, building a bulletproof prospecting pipeline and sales process, seamless onboarding processes for customers, and how to build immense amounts of value to your customers so you can retain them. The fact that I’m most proud of today is that my business is here. The fact that we’ve failed our way (many times) to success, and that fact that my co-founder and I have the confidence to keep going. Everyday as entrepreneur, I prove myself right and I prove myself wrong, but most importantly I continue to learn, and have the opportunity to apply my knowledge to one of the most competitive spaces out there at the moment. What I want everyone to know about me, is that If I can get here, so can you. All you have to do is try, and be ready to fail over and over. But the critical moment, is how to choose to react to your failure, because in that exact moment, is the definition of your entrepreneurial experience.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If I had to take my friend to a couple of places to eat it would be the following: Mike’s Chicken, Moxies, KAI, and probably Cava (more than a couple of times). In terms of fun or exciting things to do, I would bring my friend to Uptown, Legacy West, Lake Grapevine or Lewisville. Besides that I’d probably go to Top Golf, play frisbee/soccer or just hang out with friends.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would really dedicate my shoutout to Emmanuel Adegbenro. Once upon a time, when I was kid with an idea (or two) and no proven record of success in business, my friend and fellow entrepreneur Emmanuel decided to believe in and work with me. Although we aren’t working together now, Emmanuel is a true entrepreneur in every sense. His passion, drive and obsession with bringing value to everyone he works with is a prime example of how entrepreneurship can foster innovation that impacts the lives of countless people.
