Meet Tristan Garcia | Bass Producer and Mug Enthusiast

We had the good fortune of connecting with Tristan Garcia and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tristan, what is the most important factor behind your success?
What I have always wanted for my brand was to be as “Normal” as possible. I want to show that anyone can accomplish these goals as long as they put their mind to it. You don’t have to dress or act a certain way. For me its all about being the same goofy and fun guy I’ve always been on and off the stage.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m super excited for more label releases and future shows to come. I have been producing for only two years so I am happy to be in the place I am right now. The grind was never easy and I don’t think it ever will be but what can set anyone apart from others is consistency. I’m a huge believer in “Hard work beats Talent” and I hold that to be everything my project is about. As far as what separates my project from others would probably be some signature sounds / my trademark and the way I dress. Some of my friends would say my “drip” is equivalent to Adam Sandler’s and that is 100% fine with me haha. I’m easy to spot in a room full of DJ’s wearing all black and I love it because I’m who I truly am and most importantly , comfortable. As for my signature sound I would say it has like a thick chainsaw noise to it and I always have my trademark, my “bork” in every song. As far as my project I just want the world to know anything is possible. The ups and downs are inevitable but its about how you act when these occur.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Usually a typical day for me is saving lives (I work in healthcare) and being a homebody working on music, playing games or going to the gym. When it comes to friends however, I absolutely love to eat out and be active. Here in San Antonio we have a lot of hiking trails , gyms and other extra curricular activities. When my friends from Dallas are in town we like to hit up a pizza joint or eat some wings at Pluckers. I myself haven’t been to all the new places here in San Antonio so I guess this will be a date for the next time they come down.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Starting my project I had a decent amount of support from my close friends. Over the years I accumulated so much love and support that its going to be hard but I’ll definitely try to get everyone. First I would like to give my girlfriend Priscilla a huge shoutout, she’s seen me through every up and down in my project and she’s probably the only person who wants my project to succeed as much as myself. Shoutout to my parents for buying me my first controller only for me to fall in love with this hobby. I want to give a shoutout out to all the people who came to my shows when I first started, there were so many other things y’all could’ve been doing but still made time to support me, much love! Shoutout to Vivid productions for always providing a safe, fun and great experience for myself and the SA EDM community! Shout out Veridian MGMT for allowing me to join the team amongst talented individuals and for believing in my project. Huge shoutout my “mentors”/ Artist that have upped my production game / played out some of my music, some being VRG, Excision, Felmax, Jorge Toscano, LAYZ, Vastive, RZRKT, Freaky and more. Lastly shoutout to my MUG MEN from Dallas all the way to Florida, those individuals being Gibby, Matt, Micheal, Nick, Eddie, Danny and Gavin. These are my friends I talk to every day and am beyond blessed to have their support/ friendship.
