We had the good fortune of connecting with Bryson Cole and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Bryson, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Quitting my 9 to 5 to start a business from scratch was a risk. It has its highs as well as its lows, but it’s the best decision I’ve ever made. I truly go by the motto ” You only live once.” it makes no sense to not take risks. the fact that we are alive and breathing means we have another chance to make something great, I encourage everyone to take more risks in their lifetime.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’ve been drawing cartoons and doodles since I was 8 years old. It wasn’t until 2022 that my art started to get seen by a wider audience due to tktok virality. By fusing cartoons and rappers my art was easily accepted and appreciated by millions of viewers. Besides the fact that Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, Russ, and many other legendary artists have reacted to my artwork, the thing I’m most proud of is my perseverance. It’s a lot harder than people think to wake up every day and make content even when you’re not in the mood to. I feel like I owe my supporters and followers that much since they have helped me make a living from my artwork. I’ve learned anything worth having takes lots of hard work, but that Its harder to keep something than get it initially.
I want the world to know that BCGraphix is only in its infancy. I plan to release cartoons, books, animated movies, and much more in the coming decades.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My favorite thing about Texas is it’s full of delicious food spots. I would have to take my friend to Ari Korean BBQ in Carrollton, or if it was a fancier night and we had money to spend I’d take them to this Michelin star restaurant called Ari Back. Has some of the best Asian cuisines I’ve ever tasted.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
God is first. God is before everything, after him, I would like to give a shoutout to my family and close friends. I would not be in this position if it wasn’t for my mother and father. their willingness to let me discover new routes and their support in my risk-taking is what has led me here. I also have to thank my wife and best friend Fredrick Ewelike for supporting my endeavors and mentally being there for me when I’m at my lowest. My family and friends deserve as much credit for my success as I do.
