Where are you from and how did your background and upbringing impact who you are today?


Through our work we have had the good fortune of seeing firsthand how success comes in every shape, size, color, faith, and orientation. More importantly we’ve learned that success is often the result of people embracing their unique backgrounds and so we’ve asked the community to tell us about their background and how it has impacted where they are today.

I come from a separated family. My parents separated when I was about 9 years old, and I watched my mother struggle to provide for us for many years. This inspired me as a young adult to never let my children go have to want for anything. Read More>>

So, I’ve lived in DFW since 2010 but I’m from San Antonio, Tx and I was born in Mainz, Germany.
My parents both came from big families from small rural towns, where they didn’t have much and there wasn’t much opportunity career wise. Knowing they both wanted more out of life and the inability to go to college, they each joined the US Air Force. Read More>>

I’m originally from Brooklyn, New York, and I grew up in a vibrant and creative environment. I’m the second to last sibling in a family of 10, raised by a single mother. I was raised in the Colleyville-Grapevine area of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, where my single father owned and operated a small business. From a young age, I helped him with office tasks and customer interactions—experiences that instilled in me a strong work ethic, a deep appreciation for dedication, and a love for problem-solving. I was born in Tacoaleche, Zacatecas, a small town in Mexico. My family immigrated to Texas in 1999, seeking better opportunities for us. Growing up in the U.S. allowed me to experience a blend of cultures, but despite being in a new environment, my family made sure we never lost touch with our heritage.
