When I am creating it feels like I can travel to the places I can’t get to…and when I saw the consistency of that feeling I knew that creativity was my forever lane. I really can’t do much else. It’s probably more of a negative character trait than a positive one but I hate the idea of having someone tell me what do to. I’m sort of contrarian by nature so I’ve always gravitated towards things that go against the “norm”. At the end of the day it’s about having total freedom, low stress, and feeling fulfilled. I pursued a career in photography because it allows me to combine creativity with storytelling. I’ve always been drawn to the power of visual imagery—how a single photo can capture emotion, preserve a moment in time, or tell a story without words. Photography gives me the chance to connect with people, places, and cultures in a meaningful way, while constantly learning and evolving. Ever since I was little, I always knew I was a creative person. I used to write books (mostly fantasy novels) in middle school and throughout high school. My older brother and I would also draw comics and create these insane adventures and stories from our imagination. Did I think I’d grow up to be a writer though? No, I did not. I knew I was very good at poetry and combined it with my singing ability, which led to me writing my first song. Read More>>
