What’s the right work-life balance for you?

Our community is filled with hard-working, high achieving entrepreneurs and creatives and so work-life balance is a complicated, but highly relevant topic. We’ve shared some responses from the community about work life balance and how their views have evolved over time below.
One thing that I’ve learned about work life balance is that it looks differently for everyone and it is ever changing. I always joke and say “I’m not a clown, so I’m not good at juggling. Even if I try my hardest, Im bound to drop something”. That’s my approach with juggling work, life, motherhood and marriage. For me, this week. Work life balances looks like waking up earlier than usual to accomplish my tasks, spending breakfast time with my little guy then out the door for meetings and back home to make dinner. I’ve learned to value disposable time over disposable income. Based on my personal experiences and observations of others, I’ve noticed people are most satisfied when they have time to pursue their passions. I used to have a goal of just being rich, but that has shifted into living a life where I go after what makes me feel “alive.” While this won’t be an inspirational quote, the reality is that our passions don’t always line up with a well paying job. Work life balance is something alot of people struggle with on a daily basis. With these uncertain times, there is a lot of stress to maintain stability financially and mentally. Initially I was the person who was always working and would jump on every opportunity that came my way. If it was for the opportunity of exposure or for financial gain. My day was often filled with tasks to do and that would lead to burnout, frustrations, and overwhelm.
