We had the good fortune of connecting with Trey Lawrence and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Trey, we’d love for you to start things off by telling us something about your industry that we and others not in the industry might be unaware of?
The amount of Time, Effort, and Scheduling that goes into a release. Especially an entire Album and Rollout…

Have to make room for setbacks, Disappointments, People canceling, others not seeing the vision. It’s a project for sure. Especially as an independent Artist. Because you’re probably funding the entire thing and orchestrating it all by yourself.


Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Yes, so Something I take pride in that definitely separates me artistically. Is the amount of skills/talent I’ve added to my Music Resumè

Not Only do I write and record all my own music. But I can add DJ Effects, Scratches, and Remix my own tracks as well as make the Cover Art for it too..

On top of this I incorporate my own Color Gradient into my art and Brand.. Across a lot of my Work and Pages you’ll notice a Light Blue to Hot Pink Gradient change. these colors pop out for me and make my marketing Unique.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Ok so as far as spots to eat. There’s a few Staples in the Dallas Area that are a must.

We’d probably grab some Tacos at Fuel City
Hit a few Day Parties/Bars along the Uptown Area.
Go to Six Flags, of course I might drop in on a studio session at my Homies studio or @ one of the spots I record at.
Definitely Have to swing by Rudy’s Chicken and pick up a Plate…
Pull up on my Fav bartender/Model “Blasian” for some shots… yeah that’s a lit day.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Well first I’d like to Shoutout this series for highlighting my career/brand on their platform.

I’d like to Shoutout each and every person whose ever purchased Merch or a Track from me.. or Followed me on Spotify, Apple or Tidal.

And just Every Artist in the city putting in work. Regardless of Nay sayers..
