We had the good fortune of connecting with Tierra (Tee) Osuna and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tierra (Tee), what role has risk played in your life or career?
Risk-taking for me is challenging your fears, taking on new barriers, and allowing new changes 1 of my most significant risks has been opening my tattoo studio in my hometown Arlington, Texas I purchased my shop in April of 2021 with intentions to move in right away. After moving into the shop the next step was to obtain my license, while trying to obtain my license I soon discovered that after 2014 Tattoo Shops were more restricted to specific zoning. To open my shop in commercial zoning, I would need to apply and go through a process for a permit. And so I began attending P & Z / City Council Meetings I got the chance to meet so many wonderful people during my 6-month process even the mayor of Arlington.
After a long battle, Teebirds Ink Tattoo Studio received its permit
In my adult life, I’ve found risk-taking to be the solution rather than the problem.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a 6-year self-taught Tattoo Artist in Arlington, Texas who loves art, What excites me the most about being an artist is meeting new clients they’re the best part of it all from their story times to cracking jokes I genuinely adore every client that sits in my chair! Even to those who haven’t had the chance yet.
Becoming the Artist I am today took patience, research & dedication. For me, learning new techniques, new skills or even switching to a new machine was never really a challenge but a goal I wanted to accomplish.
A lesson I have learned throughout my journey as a Tattoo Artist is that as easy as it is to want to give up or throw the towel in is just as easy as actually doing what you’re destined to do.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would love to shout out to My Mom and Dad for their love & support, which never goes unnoticed, and to my dear loved ones for the love while they were present.
Another special thank you to Ms. Sue Phillips for her support.
And last but not least a special shout-out to my fiance Le’Auntia Chanealle for being here and supporting me through it all.
