My work in the community is deeply rooted in a desire to reconnect with ancestral wisdom and use it to heal—not just myself, but my family and the broader community. I started this journey out of a personal need for healing, seeking out traditional herbal medicine, intuitive guidance, and holistic wellness practices as a way to restore balance in my own life. Through that process, I realized how disconnected many of us have become from the natural and spiritual healing traditions that have sustained our ancestors for generations. Starlet exists as a beacon for all of the very unique music that is based here in Fort Worth. Although Starlet has connections from Los Angeles to Miami to even South Korea, the label very much has its’ roots in this wonderful city I call home. Ultimately the end goal of it all is to break down all the doors that are preventing the electronic and pop music scenes from really thriving down here, and I believe so far we are on track to doing just that. Cultiv8Community is a nonprofit organization focused on habitat restoration, environmental education, affordable housing, and connecting people with nature. We envision a world where people are connecting with community and caring for nature, so that all life is flourishing, now and for generations. We build affordable houses and help first-time home-owners qualify to buy a house and receive down payment assistance that might not otherwise make it over those initial hurdles to home ownership.  We engage children through field trips and summer day camps to experience and explore nature so that they have a life-giving experience, so that they are inspired to care for our natural world and perhaps even to have a nature oriented career.
