Meet Zircaz | DJ & Producer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Zircaz and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Zircaz, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
My passion for music is why I chose this career. Music has been my biggest hobby and that’s the reason I got more involved in this field. I really enjoy the experience of music. It is incredible how certain sounds and songs can bring happiness, joy, excitement, melancholy and a feeling of well being. In 2021, I moved to Dallas and that was when I started exploring and attending more music events. This led me to connect and network with the house music scene in the city. Two friends and I decided to collaborate and host dj gatherings. We invited several DJ’s and producers from DFW to join our gatherings. For about 4 months, we practiced djing, shared knowledge and experiences together. I learned a lot from everyone that attended and it really sparked something in me. These gatherings helped me visualize my own potential. I started spending more time practicing and improving my sets which led to a lot of growth this year. I’ve been able to land more gigs and perform around the city. I am now producing music and I’m really excited to keep growing in my career. I love to see people enjoy and dance to the music I play. But most importantly I love to see that they are having a good time.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I have a fond memory of listening to One more time by Daft Punk when I was a toddler. Music has always been a part of my life and now it’s a part of my dream. I’ve been able to make things happen with the help of friends, acquaintances and by really putting time and effort on working on my craft. I’m not from Dallas, but fortunately I’ve had the opportunity to showcase my skills at well known places in the city and surrounding areas. I’m super proud and excited to see what else is in store for my future. It honestly wasn’t too hard to get these opportunities, I let the music speak for me. At the end of the day, we all are pressing buttons to create these cool sounds and beats. But my ability to move the crowd with tunes really makes me feel like I have a superpower. The biggest lesson is making sure you are putting your best foot forward and give it your absolute best when creating. This is time and financial investment. I want the world to know that, “I’ll see you on the dance floor.”
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d like to thank all the djs who attended our dj gatherings and were willing to share their knowledge and skills so that we could all learn and improve our techniques. Huge shoutout to Prizm Events & PBH Productions. They first believed in me and booked me to dj at their events in Dallas. They helped me and saw my potential. Shoutout to Fancy Pants, Audio Sound Club, Next Level Events and To The Moon for having me at their events. It’s been a pleasure to work with you all.
