Meet Zaesha Hudson | Minister, Author & Wig Maker

We had the good fortune of connecting with Zaesha Hudson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Zaesha, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind my success and the success of my brand is God. I wouldn’t be where I am today or who I am today if it weren’t for Him. Growing up my grandma tried to instill church in me and I hated it. As I got older and experienced hard times in my life and marriage, I was able to grow my own personal relationship with God, without all the religion.
He saved my life, my marriage and I will always be so grateful for the changes he’s made in my life.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I have my hands in a little of everything. I have a YouTube channel where I minister and encourage people with the hopes to help everyone gain a relationship with God – not religion, relationship. I also LOVE to make wigs. I hand-make wigs and my hope is to one day sell my wigs and also make them for women/children suffering from ailments that affect their hair… oh, and I also just wrote a book!
What I’m most proud of is that I didn’t give up. Sometimes I struggle with imposter syndrome and just not feeling good enough to do what I do, especially being a minister. I didn’t choose this life, God chose it for me and I always want to make sure I’m doing the right thing and helping as many people as I can. I got to where I am today in all of my work with the support of my tribe, including my husband. I have people around me who hold me accountable and speak life into me. We all need those people in our lives.
It wasn’t easy starting out. Being on social media, you’re in front of thousands of people who can judge you and hurt your feelings just because it was a bad Wednesday for them. My husband helped me to have thicker skin so I wouldn’t allow the words of someone I’ll never see in my life, to hurt me so much.
The biggest lessons I learned along the way is to just start and have faith. Sometimes we want to wait for the perfect moment to start – when we have all the resources or the time… but I noticed that when I took that step of faith, God stepped right behind me and helped me build it.
I want people to know that you are worthy and God can still use you, no matter where you came from or who you used to be.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I just moved to Dallas back in September of 2021, so I don’t know the area too much. I will say that I know Dallas nightlife is amazing, just from what I see on TikTok. The first restaurant I’ve visited in Dallas was at the Commons Club. The food was AMAZING, drinks were amazing and the atmosphere was so friendly. Definitely check it out

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to shoutout God first and foremost. Not in a clichè way, but a genuine thank you from the bottom of my heart kind of way.
I also want to shoutout my husband, Donnie. He has always pushed me to be the best version of myself, to not be afraid, and to not let anyone stop me from being me. He is my biggest cheerleader, and thanks again to God for putting him in my life.
Last but not least, my prayer warriors. The women in my life who pray for me, speak life into me, and love me. Thank you for keeping me going!
