We had the good fortune of connecting with Zac Stokes and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Zac, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I’ve always felt the need to express myself with my music. It started in mybroom as a youngster inwas doing it for me then it been a privilege that folks enjoy my songs and my journey in this musical adventure!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My musical career started my freshman year of high school. I was asked to enter the Texas Ffa Talent show and we ended up winning state that year after that I hit the ground running and never looked back. Being 14vyrs old Playing any where from a honky tonks vfw halls and country clubs. In 2015 I won the 16 week 95.9 Ranch Factor completion against Koe weztel in the finals! From there we had our first radio release single and touring. In 2018 I started having issues with my vocal chords and had to take a immediate stop and didn’t receive surgery until 2021 due to covid! In 2022 I was released to start sing and I have been doing it again full time since march! T has been a big obstacle in my life still have to do my vocal rehab but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel and it all will make for the great underdog story we all over hearing about!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’d first take em out to the Fort Worth Stockyards for a all day adventure ture shopping food drink live music alm in one spot. Then we would prolly do the night life of 7th street in Fort worth do deep elm! I love Javiers Mexican cantinain dallas so that a must as well!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Shoot there are to many to count but first I’d like to thank the good lord for giving me a 2nd chance after having vocal surgery in 2020. Also my great grandmother Dortbey Mcnew My brothers Tyler Stokes. And Tamner sparks my mother lisa and dad Brit Stokes! With out them what I do would have never been possible
