We had the good fortune of connecting with Wenni Pan and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Wenni, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I have loved drawing since I was a child. I grew up in a small town where there was no artistic environment and my family wasn’t into art. But I never stop exploring, I like to try different mediums and combine them to create something surprising and bright in my life – that’s my little secret happiness. I also think it is very important to be inspired by traditional culture and combine it with modern art influences. I spend most of my free time learning different projects such as calligraphy, ink painting, watercolour, pastel, tie dye, felting and paper cutting. After self-teaching for so long, I became more confident and shared my artwork with others, which made me realize that my experience can inspire people.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m passionate about creating handmade jewelry, organizing workshop and drawing. The biggest challenge is that I always feel that I don’t have enough time to create, so I sleep less to create more. At the same time, I enjoy my life a lot even if it’s tiring. What I want to say is find your passion, it will bring you lots of energy to fight in your life!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There is an amazing group I want to introduce here! It is called the art club, it was set up in 2021, it is a place where people can chill and express their creativity , and open to to anyone of any age, gender, ethnicity. We believe anyone has some creative skills locked inside and ready to be discovered. The story of me with this group is I was at the very first event of the art club with the founder Krishen, we started drawing the rose garden in the park monceau in Paris. After that I became one of the organizers. We have done exhibitions, workshops, drawn together, most importantly we have shared the best moments together! It made me feel like I really put down roots in this beautiful foreign city, warm like a sweet home!
