We had the good fortune of connecting with Vladimir Meyman and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Vladimir, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
“Every child is born an artist, the problem is to remain one once they grow up.” -Pablo Picasso

I love this quote by Picasso because it is a sincere representation of the notion that we possess within ourselves everything we need. All we have to do is listen to our inner voice and allow that truth to come into existence. The natural state of a child is to imagine, to create, to view the world in new and innovative ways. Society tends to inhibit these imaginative qualities that we all innately possess as human beings. To be an artist is to listen to our inner child, let go of our social constraints, and to express our unique perspective through the mediums of our choice.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Meyman Creative represents my eclectic background intertwined within a variety of artistic mediums. I focus in the fields of photography and graphic design, but what sets Meyman Creative apart is that I’m able to provide a one stop shop for my clients. I always strive to maintain an open dialogue, answer any concerns, and provide everything that they may need for success. Which allows my clients to enjoy the creative process and witness their vision come to life in real time. Currently I’m excited about an ongoing contract with a company that I’ve been working with throughout the pandemic. I feel like everything I have trained for in my professional career led me to this point, and there is no better feeling.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
The DMA, Klyde Warren, Bishop Arts District, Parliament Deep Ellum, Trinity Groves, Katy Trail, Ascension, The Wild Detectives, The Dallas Arboretum, Angelika, Nasher Sculpture Center, Truck Yard, Whisk, Ten Ramen, Baboush, Cosmic Café, Cideracade, Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge, Meyerson Symphony Center.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d like to thank my family, friends, teachers, and fellow creatives for being an endless source of love, support and inspiration. I feel this pandemic has highlighted a silver lining for those of us that are creatives. That we get the privilege to create a little more hope, comfort, and reflection during a time when people are in search of meaning and connection. We shouldn’t underestimate that power.
