We had the good fortune of connecting with Vincent Grind and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Vincent, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
Rome wasn’t built in a day. To me this means staying the course and continuously grinding to reach your overall goal
What should our readers know about your business?
I started Grind Entertainment in 2005 as a way to put out music and movies independently. I started out of the trunk of my car selling mix tapes along with a personal documentary of the artist on the mixtape highlighting his journey and day to day life, over time the documentary side turned into comedy specials along with rap artist preforming the song that where on the mixtapes/albums this process moved to producing and directing my 1st film”enjoy life” a documentary about roylee pate a upcoming comedy from south dallas who was murdered just before his big break set to release on tubi this summer. To be honest I feel my mindset from the streets got me here today I was always into having money and to have that in the streets comes with making a investment in a product along with some form of risk these parts of the game never change so to become successful in business legal or otherwise you must have a well thought out plan a good product to consumer strategy and the means to pull it off. I was very hands on with every phase of making this film due to me having plans to make more movies… filming, sound, editing and script writing the narration down to finding a distributor uploading the film I mean everything.Due to me knowing the importance this film to south dallas and the relationship me and roylee had before his untimely death i took every precaution .I look forward to everyone seeing this film and I hope you enjoy it.My brand and label Grind Entertainment stands for redemption and determination. Ive had many short comings but my unwillingness to give up brought me thru,On my journey in life I’ve built a strong relationship with god and found time to give back to my community by funding and organizing stop the violence meeting also mentoring thru programs like Ogu with the urban specialist and my own organization grinda nation which mentors youth through film and music production I truly believe in change for our urban communities and will continue to work on that along with film and music production
