We had the good fortune of connecting with Victoria Hamilton and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Victoria, what’s the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
The most important lesson that I have learned along the way is the focus on my craft and not anyone else’s. Focusing on others takes away from your true purpose not allowing you to achieve your highest potential.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
As a stylist there are so many things that can set us apart, for myself I believe that the genuine care that I have for each of my clients and the relationships built along the way is what sets me apart and what makes Embellished Braids the business that it is today. I do not just see my clients as just “clients”, I see them as family, someone who I truly want to create an excape for just for those moments that they are sitting in my chair. I got to where I am today in my career by holding stead fast to my core values and belief in God. Some days can be longer than others, but I do not take any of it for granted. I know that I was given this gift for a reason so I cherish it daily. It’s not easy, but that’s where my support system comes into play. My husband, family, friends we uplift each other because we know that giving up and throwing in the towel is not ever an option. Winning multiple hair awards and hair competition is truly a blessing. With any journey comes great challenges and when those days come I pray that God sets me back in position where I need to be.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First and foremost, I would like to thank my Husband to whom I am most grateful for; for always supporting my crazy ideas. I would also like to acknowledge all of my friends and family who has been along with me on my hair journey. Going through this process and being where I am today would not have been possible without them. I strongly believe everyone is a part of my life for a reason and season I am forever grateful!
