We had the good fortune of connecting with Vanessa Duran and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Vanessa, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?

I always knew that I loved fashion when I was a little girl I used to cut up my socks to make dresses for my Barbies and decorate them and my friends were always wanting to know where I got my clothes from.
I have a lot of older sisters that were all so stylish and we’re the start of my clothing and styling inspiration.
I also used to work at boutiques since I was about 18 and one day I was sitting in A store and thought of the name “Plenty” and told myself I’m gonna open up Boutique and name it “Plenty”

What should our readers know about your business?

Plenty Boutique, situated in the picturesque town of Marble Falls, Texas, is a fashion haven that radiates uniqueness. We are delighted to be part of this vibrant community. Our boutique offers a diverse range of fashion, from casual basics to exquisite one-of-a-kind dresses, as well as renowned brands like Spanx for leggings, jeans, and shapewear.

One of our standout items is the “Magic” shirt, designed to accentuate your best features while cleverly concealing any imperfections. With this exceptional piece, we empower our customers to feel confident and always look their best.

Additionally, at Plenty Boutique, we believe in providing more than just fashionable clothing. Moreover, our knowledgeable staff takes pride in sharing valuable fashion insights, introducing visitors to different designers, trends, and styling techniques.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my sisters were coming into town, our first stop would be Plenty Boutique to find them an awesome outfit. Afterward, we would treat ourselves to breakfast at the Bluebonnet Café and indulge in their famous pie. Then, I would take them to Main Street to explore the charming boutiques, enjoy a glass of wine at Fiesta Winery, and sample the oils and Balsamics at the Oil Top Boutique. We would end the day by getting some ice cream and browsing through the delightful selection of vintage candy and adorable toys at the cutest little candy shop “Ms Lollipop.” After exploring the town, we would have lunch at Rae’s Grill to enjoy one of their famous burgers. Then, we could spend some time by the lake before getting ready for dinner. For a breathtaking sunset view, we would definitely go to Bayview Restaurant. And to end our evening on a high note, we could head to Brass Hall for some live music.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?

I want to give a shout out to Dee Gust, you and your boutique, Detour, in Las Vegas. When I worked with you at 18, it was an absolute blast being a part of such a cool boutique with the most amazing clothes. Located in the iconic Fashion Show Mall, your boutique was always ahead of the fashion game.

Even after 20 years, your natural sense of style continues to amaze me. You truly ignited a fire within me, showing me that I could achieve my own dreams of owning a boutique. Thank you for being an incredible role model.
