We had the good fortune of connecting with Tye Jackson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tye, what do you attribute your success to?

Be it photography or video, the biggest compliment we get after a shoot is how pleasant or how comfortable our clients were during their experience with us.
My wife and I thrive when it comes to making sure our clients are taken care of as best as possible. Most of our work to this day still comes from word of mouth.
Delivering a project on time and within budget are key factors to sustaining a reputable business, however treating people with care takes it to another level of client experience.
What should our readers know about your business?
I own VizCre8ve Media with my wife, Grace. We are a video production and photography company specializing in company profile content, promotional products, live events, and commercial photography.
Our goal is to provide the highest quality work and the best customer experience to the clients we serve. The result is ongoing client retention; we’ve made their life easier with how we served them and better by our interactions with them.
Most exciting is that I get to wake up everyday and be creative by doing something I love, as well as build a successful business with my wife.
Nothing starts off easy. If not for the pitfalls and mistakes, we wouldn’t thrive. I think that’s where the growth happens. Being consistent has been our key. Always pushing for better and never settling for “good enough” ( I don’t like that phrase).
We moved to Texas from the East Coast in 2008 after the big market crash. We lost our then business and our home. We had an opportunity to move here and we took the chance. I have done many things in my life, but video and photography have always been there.
When people ask me why did I pursue camera work, I tell them my work found me, It was never a path I sought after, but one that constantly chased me. Storytelling has always been a part of me. From growing up in drama teams, to playing music semi-professionally, to creating short stories. It has all lent to my ability to tell a story and use it to connect a company to their audience.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Longview has been good to us. Our favorite spots to eat would be Lil’ Thai house hands down the best Thai food in East Texas. Longview is growing more and more everyday. There is no shortage of music venues. Downtown Live followed by Judds Cafe is a staple. The Longview Theater puts on a great show.
We love visiting the Bishops arts District and while we are there we would catch a show at the improv. We love new towns, so picking one to visit and learn about it would definitely be on this list.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
