We had the good fortune of connecting with Ty Harrigan and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ty, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind my brand would be the positive impact I hope it would have on people who struggle with self-love and low self-esteem, especially our youth. When I thought of this brand, I thought of change not only for myself but for the entire world to just simply believe in themselves and gain the mentality in knowing you could do anything you put your mind to. Often we struggle with loving ourselves and embracing the beautiful people we are. Creating this brand, I saw a vision, a vision of our T-shirts being similar to capes. This clothing line is to make one feel as though they can conquer the world. I want this brand to inspire each and every person it comes across, and when our apparel is worn, I want them to feel like life is worth living.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What sets me apart from others would be my passion and perseverance for my brand. I am most excited about my eagerness to learn and grow throughout this journey but most of all I am proud of how far LYF Line Clothing Co. has come and the people we inspire daily. I was always consistent despite any hardship that I‘ve faced, I never gave up. I was always open to constructive criticism and bettering myself as well as the brand. It still isn’t easy but I believe in us so much that I am willing to strive through all obstacles. I had to be the brand, this consisted of love, commitment, strength, and determination. I have learned that it all takes time and in order for people to believe in you, you have to believe in yourself. I want people to know that it is ok not to be ok and that they aren’t alone. Keep being good to others and good shall always happen to you. Most importantly, Love you first!
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If I had a friend in Dallas for a week I would take them to my favorite restaurants. A list of my favorite places to eat would be Gloria’s Latin Cuisine, Fajita Pete’s and Torchy’s Tacos. My overall favorite place to drink and hangout would be Campuzano Mexican Food, they have a really good vibe on Sundays and they have awesome brunch margaritas. One of the most fun places to check out for me would be the Reunion Tower, where you can overlook Dallas’s downtown skyline from a 560- foot rotating restaurant.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d like to start by thanking Fitzroy Williams, LYF Line’s Chief Financial Officer for simply believing in me and my idea about the brand. Without him, I probably would’ve kept saying ” Maybe next time” he invested his time, money, and efforts in me. I will forever be grateful for that, besides we make a great team! I will also like to thank my mom who encourages me daily to be the best that I can be and my grandmother who has loved me unconditionally through it all. Lastly, my family and my friends, I’d like to say I have biggest group of cheerleaders in my corner and without you all, none of this would be possible. Thank you.
