Meet Tuan Luu | Realtor & Medical Laboratory Scientist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Tuan Luu and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tuan, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
For the past few years, I’ve been working in the medical field as a Medical Laboratory Scientist. When I was younger, I thought that being in the medical field was the only way to become successful since a lot of my friends were interested. I was also influenced by my parents telling me to become a doctor. After awhile, I realized that I didn’t want the typical corporate type of career. I wanted my own hours and to become my own boss. I wanted to make my own opportunities instead of waiting for years for something to open up with only a small chance of obtaining it. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I wanted to start my own business. After a lot of researching, I decided that I wanted to do real estate. I had no clue how to start so I’d figure that becoming a real estate agent would at least have me in the right path.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I’m currently a real estate agent with Keller Willams. What sets me apart from others is that I’m always looking out for their best interests. I love problem solving and I think it’s a skill that’s highly needed in this field. There are many challenges and situations when it comes to real estate. I have able to overcome all of it by never giving up, asking for help, and thinking outside of the box. By doing this, I was able to achieve things that others thought wasn’t possible.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
First stop would be my favorite boba tea shop, Tea Daddy! My goto drink is Peach Orange Lemongrass. Second, if craving Thai, Zaap would be the place or Korean bbq, Ari or Gen. After that, head to Legacy Hall in Frisco for a delicious beer flight and to munch on more food at the food hall. If the weather is nice, relax a little at Klyde Warren Park. I’m a fan of arcades and claw machines so at night, I would go to Round 1 to win a couple of prizes.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There were a lot of friends and family that supported my decision and helped me along the way. It would be way too long to list them, but I’m sure they know who they are and I’m very grateful to have them support and mentor me along the way.
