We had the good fortune of connecting with Trip G and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Trip, how do you think about risk?
I think at some point you will have to take a risk to get what you truly want. If I didn’t take any risks, i wouldn’t be where I am at now. Honestly, I feel there were moments when I should’ve risked more, but that is something you learn with experience.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Throughout the years being involved with music I would say I am most proud of my growth and experience. I was able to learn a lot at a young age and now being an adult I am able to apply those skills to my music and business. Learning the business aspect that comes along with the music can be challenging without the proper guidance, luckily I had some well educated people in my corner when it came to music business. With the skills i’ve acquired I noticed my fanbase growing more towards my music. Not just because the music is better now with the skills i’ve gained, but also the business around my music. Here in my home town, OKC I have two monthly events I host. One is called “TripNFriends” and the other is geared towards the night scene and its called “Trippy Nights”. It definitely wasn’t easy getting to this point but thats what keeps me motivated to reach higher limits. My work ethic and drive speaks for itself.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to give a huge shoutout to my support system. Shoutout to my camera man Danoproductions for always keep my visuals sharp, Shoutout to DJ Marky based out of OKC, Shoutout to Iamshona who is a model from OKC, and Shoutout to Newxwave which is a clothing brand from OKC as well. Each one of them deserves recognition, I appreciate them all.
