We had the good fortune of connecting with Tricia Mladineo and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tricia, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I decided to pursue an artistic career because ever since I was a child, I had a passion for art. From getting serious with my coloring books, performing in tap dance and ballet, going to art museum field trips, I knew an artistic career was my calling. In grade school I would help my friends curl their hair for their beauty pageants as the curling iron flowed naturally in my hand. A favorite childhood game was playing dress up in my Mother’s heels and dresses. I felt fabulous!
Seeing the joy on my guest’s face after I have enhanced their beauty, has further let me know I am on the right path. The look they have is that same feeling I felt when playing dress up.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I love the art of beauty! Each client that sits in my chair is pampered with love and care. I look forward to the happiness in my guest’s face at the reveal of the glam. Every person is just as special and I want them to feel that while I enhance their beauty. I am proud of where 247Makeup is heading. Growing with a team and developing the client relationship with new people every year is what excites me.

I have been in the beauty industry for 20 plus years and the positive feedback I receive from clients keeps me dedicated to perfecting my craft.
Since things are constantly evolving I’ve learned it’s essential to keep up with current trends, techniques and products.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my bestie was in town I would first pick her up for some breakfast at the Omlette & Wafffle Shop followed with a nice walk along the Palos Verdes coast. We would hit some beach spots to roller skate or bike ride and maybe even a hike in Malibu or Laguna followed by a roof top happy hour watching the Sunset. We definitely have to get some shopping in on Melrose and nightlife dancing in DTLA. Universal studios is always fun and we can’t forget about a good weekend brunch.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to give give major credit and a shout out to my Parents. The unlimited support, love, encouragement and care I have received from them is a blessing. My Dad was an entrepreneur that worked hard at his craft so he knew what it was like for me from the beginning.
They never doubted or questioned my dreams, only told me to follow them. I have a great team to look up to and I couldn’t have done it without them.
Special thanks to my partner in life Momchi who has continued to help me grow and given me 100% support. And to all my family, friends and clients for their loyalty.
