Meet Trence Miller | Mortgage Consultant

We had the good fortune of connecting with Trence Miller and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Trence, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I enjoy being a resource where I see fit. After 2 years working in the mortgage industry, having experience working directly for different lenders, I considered branching out and becoming an independent Consultant working in partnership with different lenders where I have been doing so for a year now. CROI Consulting was created to act as a valuable connect and resource for those interested in starting their home buying process or adding to their real estate portfolio, understanding the different financing options (mortgages) available. Creating CROI Consulting allowed me to build a personal brand, give clients a tailored experience, and handle processes in my own style.

Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
What sets me apart from others particularly in this industry is that I treat my clients like a client and not a number or a statistic to my success. As an independent Mortgage Consultant, it does allow me to have a more tailored personal experience with a client and it is important for the client to feel and experience that. That also goes a little into what I’m most proud or excited about. That is a client enjoying their experience and reaching a successful close for their purchase. Purchasing a home and going through the financing hoops can be stressful for many but as their Mortgage Consultant, I try to create a stressless, transparent, smooth, and efficient process for them to enjoy and learn from. I look forward to helping many others.
Getting to where I am professionally has not necessarily been easy but has been a great challenge. I’ve always had an interest in Finance since a young age and even studied Finance in undergrad. Since leaving undergrad I have worked in Tech Sales, Operations, and Financial Services giving me a great deal of experiences and skills to source from. There are things always changing in the market and our economy which is largely what this industry is based upon, so it takes being able to adapt, adjust, and having grit to still find ways to reach the finish line.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Activities: Dallas Cowboys Stadium Tour, Sporting Event if in season, Andretti Indoor Karting & Games, Puttery (Mini Golf), Modern Art Museum, NorthPark Mall, Klyde Warren Park, Discovery District.
Food & Drinks: Terra Eataly, Haywire Legacy West, Federales, Breadwinners, Kitchen + Kocktails

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to make a special shoutout to my family for setting a great foundation for me to continue to build upon. I grew up structured, focused, prepared, and well-guided which has given me the ability to continuously see the value in decisions and choices, keeping me in a forward direction. I’m grateful for the examples I had. Shoutout to my family!
