We had the good fortune of connecting with Trandon Welch and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Trandon, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind my success has been perseverance. In a creative industry, there are inevitable highs and lows—one month you’re fully booked, the next can be quiet. What’s kept me afloat is refusing to let those fluctuations break my stride. I’ve made it a habit to keep pushing forward by consistently marketing, investing in new equipment, and staying educated on the latest trends and concepts in film production and digital photography.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My art is best described as authentic. My focus is on bringing out what’s already there, rather than adding something new that might not align with the person or brand.

What sets me apart as a creative is my experience in developing talent, growing brands, capturing moments, outside of producing content. With these skills, I can create a vision and design strategies that maximize content performance and guarantee ROI.

Being an entrepreneur has never been easy, but it’s always been rewarding. I’m fortunate to take care of my family by doing what I love, and I believe that’s a key to a fulfilling life.

Retirement isn’t something I look forward to. Work doesn’t bring negative vibes or discomfort for me. I believe we all have a purpose on this earth that you can’t retire from, which is different from a job you might dislike.

One major lesson I’ve learned is that there’s a client for everyone, but not every client is for me. Some projects, regardless of the payout, are not ones I want to be associated with. On the other hand, there are projects I would even offer a discount to be part of. Choosing the work I do allows me to have more enjoyable days and experiences.

The legacy and reputation I strive to uphold with WELCHinc are rooted in passion, integrity, efficiency, and quality. I want people to know that when they choose my company, they’ll always receive more than what they signed up for, in a way that benefits their brand’s success.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Some of my favorite spots include Grandscape, PopStroke, and Owl Bar in Frisco, but honestly, we’d probably catch a concert or some live music if there’s anyone playing that weekend.

I’m also into basketball or football games, and Sunday Funday in Dallas is a must.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Angela Shoemaker, or ‘G’ as I affectionately call her, was the first person to introduce me to the world of film and photography. She owns Unveiled Radiance Photography, a digital photography company specializing in weddings. When she first started, she invited me to film weddings alongside her, even though I had no idea what I was doing at the time.

My dad introduced me to music at an early age, which sparked my interest in the art of curating images and building a brand.
