Meet Touria El Mouddan | Founder of Macarons by Dana’s Goodies

We had the good fortune of connecting with Touria El Mouddan and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Touria, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind my success is love, I love baking, especially French macarons, because it is one of the most difficult desserts to master and requires a lot of skill and precision to make, which made me fall for it. Fond of crafting, perfecting it endless flavors. Using the best and finest ingredients and nuts and making sure they are all natural is also a reason for the positive feedback I receive from my customers every day and the smile and excitement I see on their faces another reason why I am innovating more and more every day to make their special days full of sweetness and luxury.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I would say that each piece of French macarons is piece of art for me. being super obsessed of perfection and matching the flavors texture and colors required a lot of hard work patient and experience sometimes I spend the whole day in my kitchen “my happy place” experimenting new flavors and colors not realizing how much time I spent a way from my family was the most difficult thing to deal with, I use to feel guilty every day until I learned how to separate between my new baking business and my family time to be honest took me little while now I am so proud that I didn’t give up my dream

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
as a food lover i love to try so many different types of food so in the first day i will absolutely take here to one of my favorite restaurant Brazilian steak house Fogo de Chao
Turkish restaurant café Istanbul
sushi the blue fish
Bigdash to try some middle eastern kunefe
we would hang out in white rock lake for picnic and BBQ
and of course shopping day with my bestie would be a whole day in galleria mall

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
The amount of love, support and encouragement I received from my husband when we decided to turn this hubby to a small happy business was overwhelming wish make me work so hard to make him and my family proud of me as a staying home mom of three was little bit challenging to balance between a new business and being a full time job mom I couldn’t reach where I am today without him also my beautiful 9 years old Dana that I named my business after her which made here very helpful and exited to see her little business growing more every day. Another shoutout to my customers for believing on me since I started and had no reviews their satisfaction kept me going day after day now after almost two years, I can say I am very grateful for them for sharing their sweet moments and events with me
