We had the good fortune of connecting with Tigi Bah and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tigi, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind my success and the success of my brand is my tenacity and willingness to figure things out, even when I don’t have all the answers. When I started my business I did not have a blueprint, so I made mistakes. From those mistakes I made it a point to learn from every single one. Those bumps became opportunities to improve my systems and refine the experience I provided my clients.

Building a business requires constantly measuring, pivoting, and evolving, and that’s the same energy I bring to my clients. I don’t take no for an answer, I protect my clients’ vision, and I make sure no detail goes overlooked.

At the end of the day, a brand is only as strong as the people who support it. I show up fully for my clients, with both heart and strategy, to create experiences that are not just beautiful but truly memorable

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business, Tigi Bah Events, is a luxury full-service wedding and event planning company focused on creating timeless, elevated experiences. For us, luxury isn’t just about how something looks, it’s about how it makes you feel. I take the time to understand each client’s vision and bring it to life in a way that feels effortless, personal, and unforgettable.

Getting to where I am today hasn’t been easy. I started without a blueprint, made plenty of mistakes, and often questioned myself. But over the years, I’ve learned, refined my systems, and pivoted when needed. Moving across the country twice and relaunching my business in new markets presented unique challenges, each of which taught me more about myself, the clients I love serving, and how to continue improving my craft. Those experiences instilled resilience, adaptability, and the value of surrounding myself with supportive mentors and peers.

I’m most proud of the relationships I’ve built with clients, vendors, and fellow event professionals. The trust they place in me to bring their most important moments to life is something I never take lightly. My goal is to keep creating experiences that are not just visually beautiful, but truly memorable—showing that with vision, care, and tenacity, anything is possible.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Funny you mention that—my best friends were just in town, and we boy did we have a good time! One of the things I love the most about Dallas is that there’s always something happening—social events, concerts, restaurants, and fitness events so you can literally create a weekend that fits anyone, without feeling like you have to partake in nightlife to have fun.

Day One: Rooftop drinks at The Henry to kick things off with stunning skyline views and a relaxed vibe.
Insider tip: sit by the edge for the perfect sunset photo.

Day Two: R&B night at LadyLove Lounge in Bishop Arts. Get there early—the line moves fast, but once inside, the classics and energy are nostalgic to my millennial heart.

Day Three: Shopping at Galleria Mall. Four floors of shopping? Enough said. Start at the top for the best finds.

Day Four: Spa day at World Springs. Pools, saunas, and full relaxation. And yes I am the person who goes to the sauna in Texas summers.
Insider tip: bring a book or your favorite show—this is your recharge day.

Day Five: Dinner, drinks, and Afrobeats in Deep Ellum at Saaya and Vice Park. Mediterranean food + Afrobeats= my kind of good time.

Day Six: Morning pilates at Pilates in the Park, brunch at Miriam Cocina, and dinner at Uchi. Dallas is full of pilates princesses and sushi lovers and I have no shame in admitting I am both of those people.

Day Seven: Wine-down morning walk along the Katy Trail with a coffee in hand. The perfect way to soak up the city’s calm side before heading home.

This itinerary is enough to make anyone fall in love with Dallas… and leave them wanting to come back for more—with me as their guide, of course. After all, the best trips are the ones where you feel like a local, not just a visitor.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
So many people deserve credit along my journey, I could never name just one.

Georgia State University for giving me my first real taste of event planning when I organized the 2015 Homecoming Week. This is the moment that I realized how much I actually enjoyed creating experiences for people that will become a memory for them forever.

The city of Las Vegas for giving me the opportunity to be part of so many monumental events such as the Inaugural Grand Prix F1, Super Bowl 2024, and countless corporate events that taught me how to handle large-scale, high-volume planning.

The wedding and event planning organizations such as CHIC Network and WIPA DFW for welcoming me so warmly when I moved to Dallas. I am constantly inspired by those individuals and love to feed off their creative energy.

And of course, my lovely lovely friends and family—those who have referred clients, shared my work, given me honest feedback, and, most importantly, gave me the confidence that I could create something truly meaningful. Each of these people played such a pivotal part in shaping the woman I’ve become, and I carry their lessons and support with me every day.
