We had the good fortune of connecting with Tiffany Risch and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tiffany, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
My business has many parts the most important part of what my platform offers is the ability to express the importance of mental health awareness through the sport of fishing. I have connected with so many unique individuals over the years that have expressed their interest in my content because they feel as though it motivates them to get outdoors.

My accounts are used to help create the handshake between like-minded folks. Sometimes that can be through a charitable cause like taking our youth fishing or by donating fishing gear to families in need.

Another rewarding aspect of my business is the content creation and photography. I enjoy collaborating with other anglers knowing we are helping each other grow both in experience, education and social reach.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I wear many hats in the fishing industry. I am an angler but I also enjoy creating content to help others learn about fishing. My story comes from a place of sadness when I lost my Paw-Paw in 2014. Since, I branded the nick name he gave me and started showing others that life has so much more to offer through the sport of fishing and enjoying Mother Nature. It was by no means an easy jump to make a name for myself and start learning about the different opportunities I could explore to make a living doing something I truly enjoy! To overcome the challenges I had to prepare myself, think ahead and get organized.

It’s important to me that people consider the outdoors being a place of serenity when dealing with difficult times in their life.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We would definitely have to make a run to the bay to do some Cobia fishing. The beach area has a wide range of fantastic seafood restaurants and live music for entertainment. Knowing our relationship, I can see us even night fishing off the pier!

I’ve always found the most tucked away places to have yummy food, good people and an opportunity to learn about history!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Oh wow- this is exciting that you want to include this. I have so many folks to thank for supporting my journey as a freelancer, angler and business owner.

Let’s start off with my parents-Denise and Tim. Growing up my parents always took me to meetings with their CPA. They not only taught me the proper skills to run a successful business but more importantly the right attitude for success.
