We had the good fortune of connecting with Tiffany Green and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tiffany, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I have been passionately in love with fashion since I was an impressionable child. Since adulthood, every company I have worked for has been in the retail business. Working with them, I quickly learned the ins and outs of what it takes to run a successful fashion business and decided to get my degree in Fashion Design. I initially started sewing because I would think of a design but it was never readily available. Living in Texas, we tend to get the trend later than other metropolitan cities like California or New York. I wanted to bring my ideas to life without waiting for someone else to create it or attempt to replicate the trend. I also love the confidence that a good garment gives a woman and I love assisting women to achieve the most flattering look for whatever occasion they desire. My friends and family consistently come to me for fashion advice, so often I realized I need to be a hub for fashion nationwide.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am a passionate Fashion Designer and Seamstress. I have been in love with clothes since I was old enough to recognize I had them on. I went to Wade College where I acquired my degree in Fashion Design/Fashion Merchandising. I have been sewing for over 10 years, catering to the women in my city for their unique fashion garment needs. What makes me unique as a Fashion Design/Stylist is my ability to foresee trends before they are popular on the streets. I have the ability to create and customize garments that best suit each of my clients’ looks and needs. I like to highlight the best attributes of a person that they sometimes cannot recognize themselves. Finally, I love to create one-of-a-kind garments that capture the moment and simply steal the show.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My favorite spots to visit in Dallas/Fort Worth would be establishments in Uptown Dallas or Downtown Dallas. Places that have beautiful and stylish ambiance such as Trulucks, W-Hotel, spa at Hotel ZaZa, Dakota’s Steakhouse, Drinks at the rooftop of Virgin Hotel and the Statler. I love visiting the art exhibits and museums in Dallas as well as the aquarium. I love shopping at NorthPark Mall and Highland Park for my upscale selections and options.. If I’m looking for some bargain shopping, I’ll visit the Samoon area of Dallas.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to give a shout-out to God first and foremost the most important relationship in my life. God is my source of inspiration and creativity. I would like to give a shout-out to my children Tianna & Taylor who keep me anchored and fuel my my drive. Honorable mentions: my parents, Kim Green, Jacqueline Morrison & Gladstone Morrison my earthly and spiritual advisors. I am blessed.
