We had the good fortune of connecting with Terri Lynch and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Terri, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I have always been into beauty, makeup, and the latest skin care techniques growing up, and throughout my life. I can remember in middle school plucking my friends eye brows and doing their makeup all the time. Ive always had a passion for making people feel beautiful and special to love the features God gave them. After years of people asking me if I was a makeup artist or Esthetician based off my appearance. I decided to invest in me and go to school to be an Esthetician. It was the best decision I ever made, to get paid to do what I naturally love to do! As far as being a tea specialist it happened a little differently. I had always been a bad sleeper, lol! Meaning it would take me hours to go to sleep if I could even go. After years of dealing with this I started to spend all my extra time researching natural remedies to go to sleep. The more I researched about insomnia, I was amazed of all the benefits of herbal medicine. At that point I really dove in and never looked back. Now I’m happy to say Beauty Marquez offers delectable herbal teas for several uses!

Beauty Marquez is very committed to responsible sourcing, for my customers and the environment. I never stock conventionally grown botanicals, and when certified organic materials are not available, I opt for those cultivated without chemicals or synthetic inputs. I always take the health of my customers and the environment into serious consideration. The benefits of supporting the organic movement and moving toward an organic lifestyle are immeasurable. In all life’s obstacles, I know we juggle so many things and are always pressed for time. Its important to take care of the only body you have, either with one of our organic teas or a relaxing facial! At Beauty Marquez we remind you to make time for you!
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
One of the many reasons I love Dallas is because there’s always a new cute resturant or lounge popping up. However, Uptown Dallas I would say is a staple that is known for the entertaining nightlife, gourmet restaurants and chic shopping options. Whether is going to Perry’s steakhouse for a grapefruit martini, taking your dog for a stroll at Klyde Warren Park or going to play arcade games at Kung Fu Saloon the options are endless.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My parents who have given me all the support, love and encouragement to achieve my dreams and goals. Growing up seeing how hard my parents worked, my father being an engineer and my mother juggling her own businesses while taking care of a home. It definietly gave me the blueprint on how to build with hard work and grace while giving all the thanks and glory to God. They have always pushed me to do my best, even at times when I wanted to give up. I think about all the lessons I’ve learned and skills they have shown me throughout the years, that I have used in the transition to business owner and even through all life’s challenging obstacles as a whole. The unconditional love they have given me and the Lord’s grace and mercy has faciliated me to achieve success and its only getting better.
