We had the good fortune of connecting with Tenaya Wright-Falls and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tenaya, where are your from? We’d love to hear about how your background has played a role in who you are today?
I’m from Dallas,Tx and I feel as if growing up in a small town with limited hairstylists when I first started braiding would impact who I am today as a braider. I’m always grinding and looking for ways to enhance my work. I’ve been braiding for 5+ years now.

What should our readers know about your business?
Slayedbyshunta is a business that offers many braided & loc styles aswell as cosmetic products/accessories. My talent and customer service sets me apart from anyone else in my field of practice. I started braiding 5+ years ago at the age of 14 was it easy? Most definitely not it was a struggle building clientele in my city but I got it done in a great period of time. I want the world to know that my business is only going to go up and I have so much in store for 2023.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My favorite spots in the city would be crab & bar, Americas best wings, Texas Roadhouse, Cheddars, Dave & Buster’s and Epic waters they are all great places to visit.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to give a huge shoutout to all of my clients and customers who’ve booked/purchased from me over the years without you guys I wouldn’t be where I am today.
