We had the good fortune of connecting with Te McCutcheon Raper and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Te, let’s talk legacy – what do you want yours to be?
I want my legacy to be one of empowerment, purpose, and transformation. I want to be remembered as someone who dedicated their time and energy to creating opportunities for others—especially young girls—to discover their inner strength, embrace their uniqueness, and step boldly into their potential.

Through my work with Power House Dollz and other initiatives, I strive to inspire confidence, foster resilience, and leave a lasting impact that goes beyond individuals and touches entire communities.

I want people to remember me as someone who led with compassion and integrity, who believed in lifting others as I climbed, and who turned visions into reality. My hope is that my legacy inspires others to carry the torch of positive change and continue building a world where everyone has the tools and support to succeed.”

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m the founder of Power House Dollz and the owner of Pink Horizon Consulting. My work revolves around mentorship and community-building, particularly for young girls aged 4-17. Through Power House Dollz, I aim to provide these young individuals with opportunities to explore their inner beauty while educating them on self-identity, diversity, and empowerment. What sets me apart is my holistic approach—combining mentorship with educational programs that help young girls not only grow as individuals but also as leaders in their communities. I’m proud of the relationships and growth I’ve seen in the young women I mentor. It’s incredibly fulfilling to watch them develop their self-confidence and leadership skills.
I also manage Pink Horizon Consulting, where I focus on helping individuals and businesses connect with the right people to achieve their goals. My experience in sourcing talent and recruiting volunteers, along with my background in management, has allowed me to build a network of amazing individuals. This is part of what drives the success of both Power House Dollz and my consulting business.
The path here wasn’t always easy. There were challenges, particularly in balancing my passion for serving others with the operational side of running a business. At times, it felt overwhelming, but perseverance, building a solid team, and continuously learning from each experience has been key to overcoming those obstacles. I’ve learned the importance of adaptability and that growth often comes from stepping outside your comfort zone.
One lesson I’ve learned is that success doesn’t happen overnight. It requires hard work, patience, and resilience. But it’s also important to surround yourself with people who share your vision and can support you in various ways. That’s how Power House Dollz has grown into what it is today—a reflection of the dedication and collective effort of the team and community that has embraced it.
What I want the world to know about me and my brand is that I’m driven by purpose and service. I’m not just here to mentor; I’m here to change lives, help individuals find their true potential, and make a lasting impact in the communities I serve. Whether through Power House Dollz, Pink Horizon Consulting, The Ladies Athletic club of Dallas, or Opportunity Connect MI, my goal is to empower people to become the best versions of themselves.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I wouldn’t be where I am today without the love, guidance, and support of several incredible people and organizations. First, I want to shout out my family—they’ve been my rock, my cheerleaders, and the ones who instilled in me the values of resilience and compassion.

I also want to recognize Power House Dollz, the mentorship program I founded. While I may have created it, the program’s success is thanks to the dedication of our board, mentors, and volunteers who work tirelessly to empower young girls and help them thrive.

Additionally, I owe a lot to the organizations I’ve been a part of, like Opportunity Connect MI, The Ladies Athletic Club of Dallas, and my new sisters at Sisterhood Circle Inc., for showing me the power of collaboration and community.

It’s truly a collective effort, and I’m so grateful for everyone who has played a role in my journey.
