We had the good fortune of connecting with Tania Liliana Sanchez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tania Liliana, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?

When covid began in 2020, I lost my job. Things were a little rough for me because I was also about to give birth to my second child. My oldest child has asthma, so he misses a lot of school and we are always in and out of the hospital. Finding childcare for the two was difficult. I had a hard time finding a job that allowed me to work when I wanted. I wanted to start a business that would allow me to spend as much time as possible at home with my children. Additionally, I wanted to do something I enjoyed.I knew I wanted to start a business that would focus on something that was enjoyable because I enjoy making memories , saving pictures, and revisiting the past to relive those special moments. something with which I would not become bored.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?

Dreamshots is a digital photobooth that lets you instantly receive photos, boomerangs, and GIFS through text, email, or airdrop. You can immediately upload your photo to social media and share it. We customize your photo template to fit your party theme & Offers lots of different backdrop and fun props. We are a small family owned business husband and wife team. Being able to be creative, have fun, and work together has been a blessing as we provide a service that aligns with your vision. We ensure that we go above and beyond to meet our clients’ expectations for each booking. Dreamshots should be more than just a photo booth and DJ ; it should also be an enjoyable and interactive experience.to bring nothing but happiness and to capture those happy, jovial moments. We strives to please its customers and offers cutting-edge, easy-to-use photo booths, high-quality DJ and lighting equipment; our primary focus is on catering to a wide range of events and customers of all ages. It’s hard to find a balance between being a mom, running a business, being healthy, exercising, taking care of yourself and my family, and enjoying life but Ive learned to be kind to myself and recognize that every day and, quite frankly, every moment is unique and calls for something I might not have had the previous day. On some days, I need more coffee, music, a date night, power nap, and On other days, I let my kids play in my office while I get work done. I’ve learned that there is room for everyone to succeed and that the sun shines on everyone.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

I can’t wait for my best friend, who lives in Chicago, to visit me in Dallas. We will definitely go to an Arlington AT&T Stadium Dallas Cowboys game.We will visit Cavenders to purchase cowboy hat and adorable boots.We will go explore the AT&T discovery district, brunch at Tejas in BISHOP ARTS, dance at my favorite latin music CLUB VIVO, and definitely must visit the famous reunion tower. Naturally, we will take some cute pictures for the memories.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I owe my kids credit.They are the very best things that have ever happened to me.I started my business in part because of them.I also give credit to my husband, who constantly encourages me to work hard.He gave me the push I needed to try new things and inspired me to take risks.He has been there for me from the beginning, whether it’s helping me load up my car for events or accompanying me to events to set up, staying up late researching the best places to buy props, software, backdrops, equipment, designing templates and more.He is always there for me through every step and challenge.He started out as a DJ, but as he got busier, we decided to buy a photobooth, combine our talents, and form a duo.Being able to be a part of your special event is what stuck with me, not only because it is fun but also because we love what we do. We contribute to the spectacle and ensure that everyone has a good time. I also want to recognize one of the best groups on facebook ” STRONG WOMEN PHOTOBOOTH NETWORK” they have provided numerous opportunities for me to connect with other photobooth women owners and gain knowledge from them. Not only has that group supported my professional development, but it has also given me the confidence to succeed as a small business owner. My family. My sisters, in particular, for always looking after my children when we go to work events.
