Meet Taire Jai | Makeup Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Taire Jai and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Taire, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind my success has been my willingness to learn. I love learning tips from other Makeup Artists and Content Creators in the industry. It is always good to invest in learning opportunities because it will help you to grow in your industry.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What I love the most about the beauty industry is that it can survive anything, even a pandemic! One of the best lessons I learned along the way is to always be open to learning new techniques, and jump on every learning opportunity you can! The way I overcame the challenges I went through was staying consistent and trusting the process. I know it sounds cliche, but when you trust the process you’ll see that every challenge you face plays a part in making you a stronger person. My resilience has carried me along the way.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
There are so many things to do in the DFW area, where do I even start?! I would for sure take my best friend to Yardbird for brunch, Northpark Mall to shop, Andretti for go-carting (I’m secretly very competitive when it comes to go-carting), and of course Catbird for drinks. There are a lot more places to go, but those are my favorites!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to shoutout my mom for buying my first makeup kit, and always being a listening ear. I would also like to thank my mentors I’ve had along the way who have supported me and encouraged me to keep following my dreams.
