We had the good fortune of connecting with Sylvie Enoh and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sylvie, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Most of my work experience has been in healthcare as a physician assistant in the emergency department for about 11years. I am a wife and a mom with a career, so It is sometimes very hard to have that family life and work balance. I realized over the years that it is really difficult to juggle both and at the same time have time for selfcare. In my profession, it is mostly long hours of work, early mornings and late nights. I felt the fatigue build up and my colleagues at work had the same complaints too. When the pandemic hit , things got from bad to worse with even longer hours because we had to be called in to cover for colleagues that got sick. This coupled with the fear of bringing the illness home to my family, made me decide on cutting back on my work hours. This created space for me to spend time with my family as well as time for selfcare( time for exercising, meditation and beauty care). During this time I decided that I wanted to do something else but still in the healthcare field, that would help me maintain a good work and family balance. Because I had developed an interest in everything wellness and selfcare, I thought to my self that ,if I could start a wellness center and spa where people in the community could come in and get the selfcare that they need in a cool, calm, relaxing and comfortable environment, it would be my own way of contributing to their wellbeing. So, with the help and advice of my husband, the idea of Vitadrip and Wellness Spa came to life. We all sometimes underestimate the benefits of selfcare and how much taking just that 1 day or a few hours in a day for oneself can make a difference in ones daily life. Vitadrip and wellness spa is a medical spa where all treatments ( IV vitamins/hydration, aromatized oxygen therapy bar, weight loss, anti-aging and beauty) have a goal of keeping you well /healthy and youthful.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
*Vitadrip and Wellness Spa is a medical spa with a goal of promoting wellness and selfcare.. We provide services such as IV hydration/IV vitamins, Weight loss program, Oxygen bar, aesthetic(Botox, fillers peels & acne treatments).

*What sets us apart from others is that we are family owned and all of our healthcare providers are well trained and certified in all the procedures that we perform and are under the supervision of a board certified Physician (anesthesiologist). Our customer service is next to none and we pride ourselves in giving our clients an experience (our treatment suites are intentionally designed to give our clients a calm, relaxing & luxurious environment for the duration of their treatments).

*It was not easy to get to where we are today but with the help and advise of friends and family members who are also entrepreneurs, we were able to get to where we are today.

* Lessons learned along the way is that when opening a Medical spa or a spa in general, a real fixed budget cannot be made and to trust your instincts.

*Dreams are valid, DONOT give up on yours. I come from humble beginnings and if I could get this done, you can too.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I hope my choices will not make me a boring host but a must visit will be the Dallas arboretum and botanical garden and also the Dallas World aquarium. We will also be visiting the Six flags and the Dallas Cowboys stadium in the city of Arlington, Texas. Another must visit will be the reunion towers , the A&T media wall downtown Dallas and not forgetting the Dallas Museum of Art. When it comes to places to eat the Thunderbird station will be a good place to go eat and have drinks, Moxies is another great place to eat and hangout and then to Lockhart smokehouse BBQ for some great barbeque.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Shout out to my husband who is my partner in life and business partner as well. He is also in some ways my mentor and my biggest cheerleader. His love , encouragement and advise has contributed immensely to my success in career and business.
