Susanne, we are so thrilled to be connecting again and can’t wait to hear about all the amazing things you have been up to. Before we jump into all of that, some of our readers might have missed our prior interview, so can you take a moment to reintroduce yourself?
I am Susanne Engelbert, owner of Eterna Health Food Store in Mansfield, Texas. I absolutely love helping people with their health journey. Everyone’s health journey is very unique and personal, and I love it when people make small changes that can evoke big changes in their health. I’m rounding the corner to my 14th year in business. Which, to me, is quite amazing. It has been a fun ride with lots of ups and downs. When you own a small business you better learn how to wriggle, because there are always unknown roads you have to learn how to navigate.

Great, so let’s jump into an update on what you have been up to since we last spoke. What can you share with us?
The last time I was interviewed, I had just moved into my new location. My landlord had sold the building and so all of the businesses within that strip center had to move. I moved my business within another business called Painted tree boutiques. I had the health food store and a boutique attached to it. I love the concept at Painted Tree boutiques. There’s 250 small business owners inside. The concept is great because I know there is no way that any of us could afford to be brick and mortar stand alone without this concept. It makes owning your own business possible. Not easy… But possible. Since that time I have opened three other booths within Painted tree. One of the booths I have opened is in olive oil and balsamic vinegar booth called the Olive Cove. I also had some real fun with the label. Instead of Extra Virgin Olive Oil on the label, my label name is Extra Slutty Olive Oil. Not only our my products Non GMO, Organic, and Kosher, they are fun. I really really enjoy it. Another one was a JEEP booth. Everything jeep. I had it about a year and ended up having to close it. I rolled the dice on that one and it just did not work. So I closed it. I opened another booth which is a Natural Life Booth. The company, Natural Life, has so many unique and beautiful items. And they’re made in the USA. Which I also like. I also expanded my boutique and olive oil booth into the Grapevine location, and my olive oil booth into the North Richland Hills location. For now I’m not opening up any more booths. Eterna Health Food Store is my main JOY, but I also have so much fun with the other booths. Painted Tree Boutiques makes it possible to expand and have fun.

What do you want people to remember about you and your brand? What are some of things that you feel are most important, unique, special, etc?
I definitely want people to remember me as the one who goes above and beyond to do homework and research to help them with whatever they have going on with their health. I never try to oversell people, I just want to help them on their health journey. My tag line for Eterna Health Food Store is, Come by and see me and…Let Me Be Your Doorway to Health!!
