We had the good fortune of connecting with Sunny Disposition and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sunny, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
Josh: well, I would say my life has changed significantly since having a baby. Finding the time is a lot harder. I have to be strategic when I can be creative- it’s not just me now, I have to schedule the family, conversations on when I can do things- communication.

Simon: Time management! And communication is key.

Sunny: time management and communication. A lot of our lives have changed in the last year, so we have to find the balance in our personal lives and each other.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m very proud of being taught classically because it allows me to play different drum rhythms that I otherwise would maybe not know of. I also continue to learn that my opinion on our art is valid but it’s not always the best option in terms of collaboration. Sometime you have to step back creatively for the sake of the song. I met my guitarist, Josh, in 7th grade. So this reminds me to tell others that your past gives you the seeds for a wonderful future.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’d take my friend to Free Play arcade to play a game called Killer Queen. Arcades are a great way to meet new friends and have a drink whilst reliving your childhood. Many parks around the city are also fun to have a picnic at or shoot some hoops. And of course, I’d take friends to see the Dallas Stars! They’re an incredible professional hockey team!
